فَمَنْ أَظْلَمَُ 1125 الزمر

قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُوا عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿۳۹﴾ مَنْ يَأْتِيهِ عَذَابٌ يُخْزِيهِ وَيَحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ عَذَابٌ مُقِيمٌ ﴿۴۰﴾ إِنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ لِلنَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ فَمَنِ اهْتَدَى فَلِنَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا وَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِوَكِيلٍ ﴿

﴾39﴿ Qul yaa qawmi'maloo 'alaa makaanatikum innee 'aamilun fasawfa ta'lamoon
﴾40﴿ Mai yaateehi 'azaabuny yukhzeehi wa yahillu 'alaihi 'azaabum muqeem
﴾41﴿ Innaa anzalnaa 'alaikal Kitaaba linnaasi bilhaqq; famanih tadaa falinafsihee wa man dalla fa innamaa yadillu 'alaihaa wa maaa anta 'alaihim biwakeel

﴾39﴿ Say: O my people! Work according to your way; indeed, I too am working. Soon you will know
﴾40﴿ Who is he that will be afflicted with a punishment that will disgrace him, and upon whom will descend a lasting torment
﴾41﴿ Indeed, We have sent down the Book to you for the people in truth. So whoever is guided, it is for his own benefit, and whoever goes astray, then he only goes astray to his own detriment. And you are not a guardian over them

[39,40] And this declaration of tawakkul (trust in Allah) is followed by a statement of disavowal (barā’ah):
(مَكَانَتِكُمْ) — This refers to your position, habit, state, or strength. That is: “If you persist in shirk and disbelief, and if you are using any power, schemes, or strategies to harm me—then go ahead and do so.”
It expresses complete detachment and fearlessness—because the one who fully relies on Allah has no fear of any harm from the people of falsehood.
[41] In this verse, there is encouragement toward the Qur’an and affirmation of its truthfulness, and the main purpose is to offer consolation after the declaration of disavowal (barā’ah).
(لِلنَّاسِ) — “for mankind” — this indicates that the Qur’an is a divine book for all people of the world, not restricted to any one nation, tribe, or group.
