تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ 111 آل عمران

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا نَصِيبًا مِنَ الْكِتَابِ يُدْعَوْنَ إِلَى كِتَابِ اللَّهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّى فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ وَهُمْ مُعْرِضُونَ ﴿۲۳﴾ ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ إِلَّا أَيَّامًا مَعْدُودَاتٍ وَغَرَّهُمْ فِي دِينِهِمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ ﴿۲۴﴾ فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جَمَعْنَاهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَوُفِّيَتْ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ﴿۲۵﴾ قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مَالِكَ الْمُلْكِ تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتَنْزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَنْ تَشَاءُ بِيَدِكَ الْخَيْرُ إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ﴿۲۶﴾

﴾23﴿ Alam tara ilal lazeena ootoo naseebam minal Kitaabi yud'awna ilaa Kitaabil laahi liyahkuma bainahum summa yatawallaa fareequm minhum wa hum mu'ridoon
﴾24﴿ Zaalika bi annahum qaaloo lan tamassanan naaru illaaa ayyaamam ma'doodaatinw wa gharrahum fee deenihim maa kaanoo yaftaroon
﴾25﴿ Fakaifa izaa jama'naahum li Yawmil laa raiba fee wa wuffiyat kullu nafsim maa kasabat wa hum laa yuzlamoon
﴾26﴿ Qulil laahumma Maalikal Mulki tu'til mulka man tashaaa'u wa tanzi'ul mulka mimman tashhaaa'u wa tu'izzu man tashaaa'u wa tuzillu man tashaaa'u biyadikal khairu innaka 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer

﴾23﴿ Do you not see those who were given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of Allah so that it may judge between them — yet a group of them turns away, and they always turn away (from the truth).
﴾24﴿ This is because they say, “The Fire will never touch us except for a few numbered days,” and they have been deceived in their religion by the stories and rulings that the senior scholars have invented themselves.
﴾25﴿ Then how will it be with them when We gather them on a Day about which there is no doubt, and every soul will be fully compensated for what it has done, and they will not be wronged?
﴾26﴿ (Say, in every need:) O Possessor of sovereignty! You give sovereignty to whom You will, and You take away sovereignty from whom You will. You honor whom You will, and You humiliate whom You will. In Your hand is all goodness. Surely, You are powerful over all things.

[23] In the previous verse, the condition of the senior scholars was mentioned — that they altered the religion out of rebellion and even wrote books to deny polytheism based on false reasoning.
Now, in this verse, it refers to the lesser scholars who imitate those fabricated rulings and false stories of the senior scholars, and they turn away from the Book of Allah.
(“And they turn away”) — this indicates that turning away from the truth has become their habit.
(“A portion”) — means that they recite the wording of the Book, but they do not understand its meaning or true purpose.
[24] In this verse, two reasons are mentioned for their turning away:
First, their belief that they are destined for Paradise, and if they do enter the Fire, it will only be for a few minor sins.
Second, they rely on fabricated rulings and false claims made by past scholars.
("They invent") — the pronoun refers to the senior scholars.
("A few numbered days") — in verse 8 of Surah al-Baqarah, it was mentioned in the singular form; the reason for that is explained there.
[25] In this verse, fear of the Hereafter is mentioned. The phrase (فَكَيْفَ) indicates the terrifying nature of the Day of Judgment. The (لِیَوْمٍ) here uses the "ل" (lam) in the meaning of "فی" (i.e., "on the Day"), indicating time or occasion.
[26] From this verse up to verse 63 is the third section, which deals with the issue of Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) through the mention of the attributes of Allah Almighty. Then comes the ruling to abstain from befriending the disbelievers, along with a warning regarding it. After that, there is encouragement to follow the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and give him peace), followed by the explanation of the servitude and helplessness of the Prophets, the helplessness of the mother of Mary, the helplessness of Zechariah (peace be upon him), the helplessness of Mary (peace be upon her), and a detailed description of Jesus (peace be upon him) with twenty-five attributes. Answers are also given to several questions: 1. How did Mary (peace be upon her) receive out-of-season fruits? 2. How did Zechariah (peace be upon him) receive a child out of season? 3. How did Jesus (peace be upon him) give life to the dead and heal the blind and the leper? 4. How did Mary (peace be upon her) have a child without a man? 5. How was Jesus (peace be upon him) born without a father? From these miracles, some people assumed that Mary, Zechariah, and Jesus (peace be upon them) had power and were deserving of worship—and that they were partners with Allah Almighty. However, all of these questions are addressed and answered in this section.
